Hello, I bought a 1998 2.5 in September and I'm having a problem where if I'm rolling in 4hi for a while it will pop out and I get a loud grinding coming from the front of the Jeep and I can't move until I put it back in 2 wheel. It happened once when I hit a big pot hole and once while driving through deep snow. I do have a 4 inch lift with t case drop. The lift was installed before winter and I only started using 4x4 in the snow so I'm not sure if this issue was present before installing a lift. Any insight would be much appreciated ✌🏼

Your transfer case shift linkage is out of adjustment from the lift kit. And you are probably using the transfer case cross member lowering spacers which is why it's off.

There are several ways to resolve it. Even if the kit included a bracket to lower the linkage they still do not work well with the crossmember lowered.

Savvy off road makes a nice cable shift upgrade.

The kit did come with the drop bracket for the shift linkage and I took apart the linkage and cleaned up all the rust adjusted it so that it shifts well but I'll check out the cable upgrade, thanks!
