Had to change a bulb in my daughter’s 97 and saw something I’ve never seen before. My 97 has a 4wd light and a “Part-Time” light. Her 97 has two different 4wd icons.

This is my holding it up to the sun, there wasn’t actually anything in the bulb slots on the upshift icon (not surprising since it’s an auto) or the 4wd icon next to it.

Why two that appear to say the same thing?

The TJ's instrument cluster was shared with the Cherokee which in addition to the Wrangler's part-time 4x4, also had an optional full-time 4x4 mode. That's what that second indicator is for, it's not used on a TJ.

My 01 has a 4wd and a part time light, but only the part time is active. My guess is foreign markets maybe?
