I picked up a 32RH several years ago for a conversion that never happened. The transmission was working when pulled. There are also a few parts that go with it including a shifter, foot pedal, fill tube, transmission mount, and all the cables. No shipping, and it must be picked up this week. If not, it's going to the scrap pile.

damn, if you lived closer I'd already be in my truck headed your way.

Weird how the area works. I had it listed for free for 3 weeks and not a single taker.

I've been thinking about swapping to an auto for a while now but I would have to either source out all the extra parts or just buy a totaled TJ. You aren't headed to TN any time soon? lol

Those of us East of the Mississippi can wheel with manuals.

Not to start an opinion debate (OK maybe to do that), but I just don’t think autos are so much better off road to justify living with one in a daily. You don’t know what you don’t know I suppose, but I’ve never failed obstacle because of my transmission. I will admit that it’s easier with the 100:1 crawl ratio vs the 32:1 I started with.

living with one in a daily.

Unless you have enough power for that right pedal to be frightening, autos really are boring. Like a rubber band between your foot and the wheels.

I do wish I had one when I have to do 20 miles of stop and go in the city though.thankfully very infrequently!

No one that I've done an auto swap for that plays in the hard stuff has ever gone back to a manual. They all say the same thing almost verbatim. I wish I had done this years ago, I listened to the wrong group of folks when I was starting out and didn't know enough to know I shouldn't have.
If you daily and like rowing the gears, do what makes you happy.
No one has ever been left behind or not finished a trail with us in JV due to transmission choice, ever.
Your rig, your choice, I won't be able to convince you because if I could, you'd already be there.

I was just being a smartass, but I agree with "no one has ever been left behind or didn't finish a trail because of transmission choice.". I love to wheel and I wheel with everyone, all types, all makes, from wherever, and no one gets left behind.
