Hello everyone… new to the site… I’ve been searching and looking around to find answers prior to bugging people…
I have a 2002… I believe it’s an X or maybe a sport… it has the 4.0 and the 32RH….
We bought it for my daughter’s first car as she wanted a Jeep…. I bought it early so I can get it working and reliable before she starts driving…
Right now I’m refreshing the transmission…
I noticed while reassembling today that the carrier with the shaft on it is tight and the friction discs don’t move… the 2nd carrier isn’t as tight and allows the discs to move a little…
Am I missing something? Or is this normal?
I have to disassemble it tomorrow again anyways bc stupid me I forgot that roller cage thing at the back of the transmission… I put it off to the side thinking I would remember but obvious that didn’t work…
