I dug through the other threads and did not come across one that is similar to the issue I am experiencing with my 32RH. Here is the list of notes/things ive tried.
Notes/Things Ive tried from other threads
- 2001 Sahara 4.0 w/ 32RH
- 29" wheels with 3.Slow7 gears
- Rebuilt prior to purchase
- Fluid is slightly overfull
- No damaged wires seen during initial inspections
- Intermittent on cold start ups
- Adjusting the TV cable seems to be no help
- Idle in neutral for a bit does nothing
With that out of the way, the issue I have is intermittently, after the jeep sits over night or trough a weekend, after going from reverse to drive and coasting to a stop, the transmission seems to be holding 2nd gear and causes the RPMs to hit 250 or less until I pop it into N or 2 with the shift lever. As mentioned above, I have gone through many other threads trying to find a fix prior to posting a new thread, but here I am.
The issue happens after I leave the jeep parked for a few days followed by leaving my house to go to work. I have to constantly shift between N and D or D and 2 to prevent it from stalling. During acceleration when its trying to bog down/stall, it sputters and shakes violently. Again, shifting to N or 2 for a second then back to drive fixes it until I come to a stop again. This happens constantly until the transmission warms up, usually after a short 10 minute drive on the highway at 65MPH. Then the problem does not occur until the afternoon when I go to drive home. After that, the issue seems to go away for a while until it sits parked for over 12 hours.
