A couple questions about the lift on my TJ.

I currently have a 3” lift on my TJ. The springs need replaced and I was toying with going to a 3.5” or maybe 4” lift. Will adding 1/2-1” of lift require me to go with adjustable track bars?

Also, I plan on replacing the shocks. I can find 3.5” lift in the RS5000, but haven’t seen 3”, one of the reasons I was debating going to 3.5” springs. If I stay with the 3” lift, will shocks for a 3.5” lift be okay or do I need to go another route and fine shocks for a 3” lift?

Thanks

You should have adjustable trackbars with 3 inch lift springs. Is this Jeep off road only?

No, it’s not a daily, but I do drive it around town as well as off road. It doesn’t currently have adjustable track bars, although those are on my wish list. Maybe I need to move them up the list.

Why? Sagging?

You need to measure for new shocks and see what you need. Half of the shock shaft exposed at ride height would be optimal.

I went from 2.5" spacer lift to 3.5" lift springs up front because when I added a winch plate and winch the front sagged. I had to buy a adjustable track bar and longer quick disconnect swaybar links. I reused my shocks which is working fine. The new springs raised the front back up to where it was before

Needs more lift to drive it offroad. I had a couple of Jeeps that color.

The stiffer 3.5" springs in the front are keeping the tire out of the fender pretty good on our jeep trail where it gets flexed.

The rear is stock springs with a 2.5" spacer lift and on the rock near my house we flex and check suspension clearance the 35" rear tire is getting crammed in the fender but the stock flare is the only place its hitting. I'm going to try 2.5" springs in the back which will be stiffer than stock and if that doesn't do it will buy the bushwacker high line fender flares which will give me the clearance I need.

Im trying to keep my stock painted fenders if I can. I dont do anything extreme and my jeep is the least capable compared to my sons jeeps. For hard trails I would probably just ride with one of them and be the spotter.
