Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum and looking forward to learning from you all. I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this—if it’s not, please let me know and I’ll remove it.

I’m having an issue with my 2006 Jeep TJ. It won’t start. The battery is brand new (just replaced it today), but it still won’t turn over. I have power, but there’s no click from the starter.

I’m fairly hands-on, though I’ll admit that electrical issues aren’t my strong suit. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

If it's a Rubicon try starting it in 4 Lo.

Try putting it in neutral, set the brake, switch the key to run and jumper the big and little wires on the starter.

Wiggle the shifter, try starting in N as well to eliminate the N safety switch.

Be sure the battery cables aren't corroded.

Swap ASD relay with the horn relay. Check your fuses.

Check the ignition actuator pin in the column. Several videos on this out there.

Ignition switch actuator pin.
If you rotate your key to the start position, but your dash lights don’t go out (air bag, engine, etc.) then the pin may have broken.
Have you tried jumping your starter with a screwdriver?🪛
Other culprit maybe a ground.
Here’s a link. 12 bucks on Amazon.
