Hey Everyone,
I have recently purchased a 2005 with 115,555 miles on it. I have been slowly doing some maintenance on it as you can see below. It's been running great but once I hit 116,000 I got the P2096 code. After reading a lot of threads I decided to just try and resolve the issue by replacing the O2 sensors. I got the NTK ones like everyone suggested and made sure to install them in the right locations. It came from Hawaii so I assume it has the California emissions (has 4 O2 sensors). After installing and clearing the code it would come back every 50-100 miles. Others have said it could be a computer issue so I kept clearing it until i would have time to go to a dealer. Yesterday I got a different code; P0133. I know I installed the right sensors in the right locations. I have read the other threads about this issue but, wanted to start my own so, that I could be clear as to what I have and what I've done. I would like to try and resolve it myself if I can ( I like learning so if I can avoid brining it to a shop I'd prefer that). If anyone has any ideas as to where I could start and what to do I would greatly appreciate it. (I am a new Jeep owner and am working on my mechanical skills).
Thank you,
Jonathan
