Over the weekend, left the Jeep running for 30+ minutes while I did some spotting. Started to drive the Jeep and realized it was running rough, running on 3-4 cylinders, but I thought that I could get to the top and diagnose the issue. Jeep made it to the last steep incline, and started smoking from under hood and stalled out. It would not restart. Several hours winching - got back to camp.
When it stalled, had someone pop the hood- the coil was smoking and toast. He said it did not smell like an electrical fire. Back at Camp: Replaced coil - no crank & no start. The dash lights come on, gauges don't move. Checked starter and ASM relays = all good for power and ground. Swapped computer = didn't change. Checked G105 ground - it was good.
Would blown coil take out other components? Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
@Wranglerfix suggested a post here for additional support. Thanks
