The horn on my 04 LJ doesn't work, the 20A fuse and relay are good, the horn makes a sound when I connect 12v and ground to it. How difficult is it to replace the switch shown on the image attached? Also were are C107 connector located? I know C110 is on the driver fender.

If you're asking about the horn switch, it's in the steering wheel. Are you sure your horns have a good ground? How do you know the relay is good?

The issue with my horn is definitely a bad clockspring. The horn goes off when I ground the red/yellow wire on the clockspring connector, also when i jump the relay the horn goes off.

I was thinking about using the cruise control buttons to switch on the horn, but cant find a wiring diagram showing where those wires go.

Then wire up a switch off the ignition column... temporary until you can fix it up right.

Trying to pass an inspection?

I've driven plenty and hardly ever use the horn.

Yea, I have a cheap switch from the autostore, will wire that for now. I just like the cruise control buttons better if I can get those to work as a horn switch.

Will a bad clockspring affect the airbag?

Do we know if the Clockspring affects the airbag? If not then I wont replace it.

It does. But if the horn is not working because of the clock spring, the airbag is not far behind. If the airbag clock spring connection is compromised, the airbag light will be on.

Replacing the clock spring is not a big deal. Just be sure to disconnect the battery. Disconnect the positive post first, then touch the positive to the negative terminal, then disconnect the negative terminal. Doing it this way ensures there is no errant charge in the system which could set off the airbag. Very unlikely, but this is the way I have always done it.

This product produces extreme loudness. Proper hearing protection must be worn at all times during its operation. Hearing loss or permanent damage may result from unsafe use. Use this product in a safe and responsible manner and at a distance of at least 100 meters from others. Never operate this product in a closed environment, in close proximity to living beings, or where prohibited by law.

I feel like that somewhat diminishes the usefulness, no? 😀
