On the 2004 LJ Dana 30 front axle is it an open carrier?

Open carrier from the factory. Who knows if the axle has been modified over the past two decades

I wouldn’t waste the money. Save for a locker. Torq locker or selectable locker depending on the budget. Just my opinion. Having a locker in the front and that Limited slip in the rear can take you place you wouldn’t believe.
