100 mph in a TJ; have you done it?

I'm not too sure about that. When I took my 99 over 90 m.p.h. it was at 6100 ft. elevation , The Jeep sounded like a B - 17 , balls to the wall , in a 75 degree dive.
It was LOUD .

Do the same speed in Houston and I bet it'll be even louder.

The noise you're hearing is literally engine power being converted to sound power by all the friction and turbulence around the surfaces and edges, which manifests as drag force and reduces the engine power available for propulsion. The more wind noise, the more power you're losing to drag. A more aerodynamic car innately makes less wind noise as well.
