I had a similar experience last summer but worse. On the freeway at speed with the AC on max, the odb reading was 239F and only dropped to 228-231 in town. I did the whole cooling system refresh and temps are 202-215 now regardless of what speed I'm moving and the AC usage...

that was 3" springs w/ 1.25" body lift. I might have had small .5" spacers on the springs too, I can't recall.

I have mine attached to the side of the center console. Its accessible, but out of the way. I can adjust it easily (and I do frequently) without having to look for/at it. I wasn't sure about it when installed, but I've been really happy with it here for a couple of years now.
