I'm pretty sure the PO of mine had the flywheel turned which is not recommended on out TJ's and I believe it had something to do with it. When I would take off you could feel a stutter as it engaged

No need to drain the system. The low pressure line where the LPS screws into it has a Schrader valve that will prevent the system from draining when you remove it. Just unscrew it and put the new one in. You should be good to go then.

This is so true. Used to love going there but stopped when the lowest blackjack table you could find was $25. It's just not fun if you lose $500 or more in under a hour. Didn't mind when you could play for hours on it even if I lost but let me get some entertainment out of it.
