I sold my first 98' TJ to a doctor that lived in a nearby city. I told him $10,000 cash sale only. He said he wasn't comfortable carrying that much cash with him. I told him I wasn't comfortable taking a $10,000 check from a stranger. He brought the cash, but I met him at the bank to ease his mind.

My wife used to worry about me meeting strangers to buy Jeeps and carrying large amounts of cash with me. Then, I pointed out the fact that I always carry firearms with me. A self-defense excuse would be a bonus. 🤫

I wish that was true for Toyotas in my area. I need another work car. I paid $3,000 for my 2006 Scion with under 100,000 miles, 7 years ago. The price has doubled for the same old car with similar mileage. :mad:
