TJ running below operating temp in winter

When it's hot the clutch locks and the water pump spins the fan cooling the Jeep by drawing air through the radiator. There's still going to be some slip. -Mac

    LJ Upgrade Questions

I wouldn't think 4.88s would be good for 37s. JKs didn't come with a Dana 60. 4LE60 is an LS transfer case...but your profile mentions a 4.0. As @Chris mentioned lots of good reading here. I'd do some research, make a build plan and then hit us up with questions. I'm a couple hours south of...

    IAC needs replacing?

Did you clean the IAC orifice in the throttle body? You mentioned cleaning the sensor...but did you clean the throttle body? https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/how-to-clean-your-iac-idle-air-controller-valve.662/ -Mac

What did you do to / in your garage / shop today?

When I was in the gravel I'd put big inflatable wheels from Harbor Freight on some of my stuff...but usually it was tool rolls and trays and laps. Those pack outs look nice but too expensive for me. I've broken so many socket rails. Don't bother fixing your tool situation until you fix your...

What did you do to / in your garage / shop today?

My goal is to get to a single roller toolbox with common stuff in the drawers. When I need to do something it goes up on the lift and I can just drag the box with me. -Mac

Why are my tires not holding a bead off road?

I have three and they all disagree. I will say my 0-20 is much more accurate at lower pressures. My 0-60 says I'm at 3-4 psi and the 0-20 says it's 7-8 psi. My Morrflate digital is close +/- 3 psi. -Mac

What did you do to / in your garage / shop today?

I grab the three tools I think I need, crawl under and end up making 40 laps. Since I'm still building my shop all my boxes are in the garage...so often that means walking to the garage to grab something or searching everywhere because I didn't put it away the last time. Then I curse myself for...

TJ running below operating temp in winter

Help With Jeep Exhaust (Expert Opinion Needed)

Don't you need a CARB sticker to pass? I grew up in the Bay Area. I remember struggling to get my 69 K20 to pass. -Mac

Why are my tires not holding a bead off road?

I've had 33s and 35s ... BFG KO2s and KM3s... C rated...had them down to 3 or 4 psi in the snow and the only time I've debeaded a tire is winching sideways. -Mac
