Maybe Seafoam the engine? Get a can, pull the vacuum line off the brake booster and dip it in the bottle...modulate the throttle to keep it running.
Watch for any exhaust leaks, too!

Well my rear driveshaft is vibrating. The centering yoke was hashed bad. Teraflex SYE. I think my housing is ok and the rear output bearing is shot. I grabbed a new one the other day.
This is most of my drama and experience with my 231J...
I do have my old tail housing from my 97...also did a SYE.
Let me know if you want me to toss it in a box and send it to you...but I think you've got it.

Might be able to find a community college welding program or auto tech that might be willing to help squirt on that frame repair.
Welders are getting a lot more affordable. And honestly the only way not to spend a ton of money on a 25 year old vehicle is doing all your own work.
