    Nashville TJ's Build - Continued

609 retains the bearing or sleeve. They aren't moving due to anything the 609 would fix since the preload on the bearing is doing the retaining. But, if the housing was flexing, that would load the bearing on one side as it rotated and eventually cause a loss in interference which again, the...

Stripped out Torx bolts for Flux Offroad Light mounts

You can NOT drill all the way through if you use a 5/16" bit.

    Nashville TJ's Build - Continued

The purpose of the dimples is to add thickness. Yours are way too deep and not nearly enough. You need to use a sharp center punch, moderate tap, and then do that in a 1/8" x 1/8" pattern on the journal. Press the bearing on with some 609 or 638 and it will last a very long time. Your better...

    Transmission cooler hoses part number

And I think that designing good high quality products that cover a wide range of applications is easier than most people think it is, but I'm good at it. Notice any similarities about how easy it is to make other folks smarter than they are?

Stripped out Torx bolts for Flux Offroad Light mounts

Best answer is to carefully drill the heads off and start over.

Why are my tires not holding a bead off road?

My preference. But, don't fuck up and stick it on your truck tires. Not good for it. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=2836

    Transmission cooler hoses part number

I wish you would do a few 42RLE versions, replace a few bad transmission cases under warranty that you missed and maybe then you might not be as enthusiastic.

Help With Jeep Exhaust (Expert Opinion Needed)

On the exhaust parts, they don't use stickers. The EO# is stamped into the heat shield or similar in a location where the smog tech can see it and by nature, they don't try very hard to find it.

Help With Jeep Exhaust (Expert Opinion Needed)

My guess from having seen a bunch of them is the left front got pushed back, mangled the driveshaft, exhaust on that side, and then split the t-case. The only thing I'm not pretty sure of is whether or not it also sheared the motor mount cast bracket off the side of the engine block.

Why are my tires not holding a bead off road?

They are tire monkeys. They are barely able to get your tires and wheels off of the vehicle, new tires put on the wheels, and get them back on the vehicle without a mistake that would inflict serious damage on every other customer. Them are not the folks you want figuring out whether or not it...

The absolute best part of those commercials was the Italian actor pretending to be a sad Indian.

Help With Jeep Exhaust (Expert Opinion Needed)

#1 is pretty clear that you shouldn't buy their exhaust. #2 is confusing enough that I wouldn't buy it purely on fitment listings, never mind that it specifically states not for CA vehicles. The last one is priced a tiny bit high but very typical for CA compliant exhaust emissions...

Why are my tires not holding a bead off road?

I don't think that is what I said at all. The safety bead of the wheel is the only thing that keeps the tire bead from moving inward at low pressures. At normal street pressure, the air pressure does it but we need something else at low pressure and that is the safety bead. The problem is...

Why are my tires not holding a bead off road?

You need to go back to bubba and have them remove a tire. Once the tire is off, compare the wide of the tire bead to the width of the groove created by the safety bead and make sure that the lip of the tire bead is not up on the inner raised ring of the safety bead. If the inner edge of the tire...

    Steering Box Upgrade

The best part of that picture is Chris made at least 4 mistakes in it that I missed because I was trying to get some method of sticking numbers next to parts without paying attention to what parts were being used.

    Rock Jock Springs Bowing Outwards

Anything is possible, surprising that they got into production though since I know that John tests everything first. Hopefully this is just a little manufacturing growing pain and they get it sorted. It would not be the first time that production doesn't match samples, prototypes and first...

    Rock Jock Springs Bowing Outwards

No idea what is going on. I suppose it is possible to get matching bad springs since it isn't impossible. The odds of that are very low, even lower that this is the first set, or only set and then to get a pair is just bizarre. Worse, if it was a spring related issue due to being incorrectly...
