Need to replace the electric cooling fan/motor on the radiator of my 2004 TJ. The OEM part 55037695AA has been discontinued by Mopar. Any suggestions on where to get a new one that will fit.

No that would be a mechanical fan. This is an electric fan attached to the radiator for a 2.4L engine. Are you talking about the fan clutch?
will not fit 2004 according to reviews. It's been a while since I had my 04 with the 2.4 in it but how does this one look compared to the OE

It may be possible to remove the blades from the fan motor, but the likelihood of you finding a fan and/or fan and motor that will fit the factory housing is probably unrealistic, outside of a good used OEM unit that may have a damaged housing.Seeing if I can revive this one before starting a new Thread. I have the 2.4 with the factory Electric Rad fan setup. My issue is the blades on the fan are cracked. Anyone know if I can just replace the electric fan blades? Or even replace the motor and blades and still reuse the fan shroud/assembly? The main reason I want to use the assembly is due to the location of the Coolant overflow tank and the power steering reservoir that mounts to it. Trying to keep it as factory as possible. Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated. And as others have found 55037694AB is a discontinued part and no one seems to have it.
Link to an example 2.4 Electric Radiator Fan Would think that with all the 2.4's that are still running around someone would have come up with an easier solution to locate!
Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions.
That's awesome that you found a workaround for the replacement. Not sure if anyone else has this same issue but I did resolve it and thought I would share how. After much research and scouring forum pages and a little help from you all, I found that the part is no longer made. Thanks all for the help!
Couple items I should share first for those thinking of this fix. My fan shroud/mounting plate is in great shape. Dirty but solid. It’s the type that has the radiator overflow tank and the power steering reservoir mounted to it. The motor ran, but I think only in either one speed (not sure if high or low) based on a power probe and some unscientific testing. The blades were cracked and broken.
I started to search for other vehicles that have the same 2.4 L that my Jeep did. There were many vehicles that used this motor, but found the radiator fan to be very different depending on the style. Turns out the motors are relatively unchanged (more on that later) but the blades were very different diameters. What ended up fitting the best was the fan components from Duralast DL620-475, normally for a Jeep Liberty. I bought it from AutoZone so I could have it that day, but it’s also available from Amazon by searching for the 620-475 model. The plug on that model also matched up to my high/low speed harness. It was plug and play. Before buying i visited the parts store and side by side measured the fit to ensure correct fan blade diameter. I want to say it was right around $85 but 10% off with military discount. On Amazon it sells for around $66.
Now for the motor, the motor was the same, the harness was the same, the mounting tabs were not the same. They were in the right location and the right shape, but they were 5/8 of an inch too high. Meaning that I could not mount the motor directly to the shroud, I resolved by purchasing nylon spacers from Home Depot. I also needed longer screws so that the motor could still be securely attached to the shroud. Unfortunately I did not think of that upfront and required another trip to Home Depot for 3 screws.
I should also mention, that I now have the shroud for the other radiator that is pretty much useless to me. I’m sure I will hold onto it in my garage so that I can donate it to Goodwill in three years. Seems to be par for the course for me!

it might be beneficial for you to start a thread detailing your specific solution so this information doesn't get lost in this thread. Just a thought.

I took a different approach - rather than using spacers and longer bolts to mount the motor, I used a 4 3/8" hole saw to cut a clearance hole in the shroud for the 620-475 motor. I ordered the Dorman version from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0089T0X0Q/?tag=wranglerorg-20), as it was slightly less expensive, and delivery to my doorstep was free.
Please note, the nut holding the fan blade on is reverse threaded!
The fan blade still sits proud of the shroud by about 1/2", but this is as good as it's going to get... Now to put it all back together and hope it clears the radiator!

I realize this is an older thread but I just completed this repair and it went perfectly. Swapping the motor/fan took less than 10 minutes once the shroud was removed.
The difference in CFM between the original (worked but had a bad bearing) and the 620-475 on single speed is significant. I wired mine up to use high speed on two seperate circuits just in case a relay or fuse fails. This way it can drop to the slower speed if it loses one power source. Running it on slow is more than enough to keep it cool even with 90+ temps and A/C on.
A quick trip to the local salvage yard yielded me the Jeep side (2004-5 Liberty) of the power connector so I can still warranty the replacement should that be required.
