I fixed my hardtop and it was a lot worse! If I can do it then you can probably do it better.![]()
Those lower control arms are amazingly thin. You can tell by how sharp the crease is where they folded that they aren't more than .120 wall. That is really bad.He was with us, friend of @gasiorv
Those control arms folded like a wet noodle!
Load them trying to climb something and then bump them on a rock. Folds them up like the stock tie rod for the same reasons. Thin wall tube has a lot of resistance to compression loads until you kink or side load the middle. How?
Why in the world would anyone sell a product like that for a heavier Jeep that is subject to impact? Never mind, they don't care! Those lower control arms are amazingly thin. You can tell by how sharp the crease is where they folded that they aren't more than .120 wall. That is really bad.
Yeah, that JK doesn’t really look built for Pritchett - it probably shouldn’t have even been in the rocks with those arms.Load them trying to climb something and then bump them on a rock. Nothing to do with caring. Vast majority of folks won't ever work them hard enough to matter. Why in the world would anyone sell a product like that for a heavier Jeep that is subject to impact? Never mind, they don't care!
Regardless of how it's used, I'm betting you would never sell a product like that!Nothing to do with caring. Vast majority of folks won't ever work them hard enough to matter.
This is why you can't have nice things.First day of useView attachment 247880

They are only $45 but I’m leaning towards a decent canvas duffle instead of another. It hangs down too far and I ground it into the rock on the escalator so it’s not surprising it was shredded. They really aren’t all that quality. I also don’t produce enough refuse off-roading/camping to need one (even on the multi-night trips). I’m bored of the overlanding world.
I've always like this one but its spendy, and I haven't brought myself to pull the trigger yet. They are only $45 but I’m leaning towards a decent canvas duffle instead of another. It hangs down too far and I ground it into the rock on the escalator so it’s not surprising it was shredded.
I don’t want anything that hangs low on the tire. I’ve drug it on too many things.https://lastusbag.com/collections/outdoor-recreation/products/oscars-mobile-hideout

Which did it bend on? The first, third, or 5th hit?
