Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

Put my hitch rack together and tried it for fit.
If you are wondering we have to have auxiliary plates with lights in Western Australia and also plates must be in the centre so speed cameras can get ya :( Just waiting for my tire bag now.

That is such a pain to do all that extra for a basket. Random question. Do you know who Andrew St Pierre White is? He also lives in Perth and I watch all his stuff on Youtube. He's a really knowledgeable of roader and would love to see his opinions of our tj's since I know they are rare down there.

I had to laugh seeing some of the above posts. I replaced my inner shifter boot today, what a pain in the a$$ for a simple task. The two bolts at the 4wd lever just spun. I made the executive decision to engineer the new boot vs. cutting bolts etc. it worked pretty well. Amazing how torn up my old one was, not a big deal in the winter with the free heat, but excited to feel the difference in summer. Also finished up the JKS disconnects.

Once I put my V8 in last winter. In the summer it was like another 4 heats vents in the jeep. My wife hated it, and she loves the heat hahah

Did some half door maintenance. Put in new door locks (I didn’t have keys to the locks that were in there and my attempt to rekey failed), some new weather stripping, and replaced the driver side door handle as well as painted them both with fresh paint. Got the idea on this forum to disconnect the rod that allows the door locks to work from the inside. So the only way to unlock the doors is using the key. Hopefully this will make it much tougher for sticky fingers from walking away with my half doors.

Refinished the rim I picked up for my spare to match the other 4. After over a year of searching, I found one but it's the version that came with factory powder coated accents.

Having a wheel refurbishing shop remove the powder coating and refinish to match the others was going to cost half as much as buying a whole new set of wheels.

I considered using various products to remove the coating myself but the bare aluminum areas would still need to be either painted or coated.

I decided, instead, to try plastidip on the accents.

The wheels I wanted to match

Well after the Covid almost killed me at Xmas ,Im back to about 90% so I thought it was time to install my Savvy tcase shifter cable ,and my Adjustable trac bar .Now I have a quick question ,While everthing was disconnected ,The shifter handle was extremely hard to go threw the selections especially N and 4 low ,any ideas .THanks in advance .
Glad you made it through the virus, and good job on the mods. I can't help you on your question, except that I suggest you start a new thread. I am certain you will get a lot more attention from those that know.

I’m not doing anything in my TJ anymore since I’m working from home. I use our other vehicle (lease up in July) for all my vehicle needs to keep the miles down on the jeep, plus I’m way overdue on the timing belt so don’t want to risk it.

I feel like my TJ is my fun weekend vehicle now rather than my daily. Only taking it out when it’s sunny 😎

The "StreetRays" 1-1/4" seat riser kit was installed today. The only negative is that the washers are too small on the three smaller diameter bolts - they barely cover the holes in the seat rails. I'll get some larger washers at Ace tomorrow - otherwise, this kit is GTG, American sourced 8.8 hardware, machined aluminum blocks, etc.
