Welding that up is easier than cutting the cross member laying on my back.

That looks flimsy. I guess you plated it. Did you add bracing on the back side of the cut?

I would have cut the crossmember before that. The Currie bar should clear.

I wouldnt want that track bar under my jeep holding things in place.
