What did you do to your TJ today?

Talking about Blinky light Phaedo alarm thingies, Where I live in Western Australia it is a requirement to have a vehicle immobilizer. All new Vehicles have security built in but if you buy an older Vehicle you must have an engine immobilizer fitted. Not a bad thing until the battery on your immobilizer fob goes dead!
And I thought our Nanny State was bad...

WOW! Wrangler Sporticon with 1000 original miles...really...trust me! OMG, there's just too much wrong to laugh at! I too hope that no one falls for that steaming pile o' poo!
I beat you all to it! And just to make sure he didn’t sell it to someone else I venmo’d the entire $1000 to him.

realized I should probably clean and put the hard top on this weekend..

Yeah... right there with you.

Not a lot really but my rear window decal finally arrived from the good old "U.S of A" Proudly made in the Nanny State of CA, so I put it on! lol
I have had this Decal on every Vehicle I have owned since about a year after 9/11 :( even though I am Australian.

OK, I'll bite - what exactly is the "Red Pill"? Anything like the little blue or yellow pills for ED? :~)

You damn rich people and your money.;) I wanted it so bad. I could tell it was an actual Rubicon and had a LA lift installed. His details were spot on.:poop:

The terms "red pill" and blue pill" refer to a choice between revealing an unpleasant truth, represented by the red pill, and remaining in blissful ignorance, represented by the blue pill. The terms reference the 1999 film The Matrix.

A 1999 film? I thought it was like the political red state and blue state, but I promised not to go there again. Blue states meaning they have erectile dysfunction (blue pill) like their candidate. Sorry Chris. ;)

Replaced the fuel pump.

During the last week the TJ almost left me stranded twice. Both times it eventually started, but I was close to calling for
tow. Gas gauge showed half a tank, but thought it would be doable. Got it unbolted and about got a hernia. It was almost completely full. Finally got it on the ground and hooked up a 'drill pump' to empty into five gallon gas cans. Drill pump melted down after the second can so we just decided to fight with it. Pulled the fuel pump, and it came out in 3 pieces. The main body, the bottom plate, and the 'sanitary napkin'. Being an Arizona Jeep all of the fitting 'locks' were brittle and broke, so we used small zip ties (they actually work really well). Got a little nervous when I tried to put the pump in the tank and it bottomed out before it was fully seated. After my heart rate went back to normal we realized it will collapse so the it fit. Must be made to fit multiple tank sizes. Got it back together and it started right up. 4 hours including a lunch break. SUCCESS!!

Not sure how old the pump was, but it was a Delphi, just like the new one we installed.

Those always look like they're mounted upside down, can the brackets be flipped over?
Yes, I flipped them over and tested them. It raises the armrest quite a bit and of course, changes the way the weight on the rest is distributed. It also makes the opening behind the rest smaller, so slightly harder to get fingers in to close. They also can't be adjusted back any further.

So, I flipped them back (only takes a few minutes).

As pictured, they are the same height as the console so I don't feel lopsided, and for me, are a perfect height for resting my arm, which is what I wanted them to do!
