Dang y'all talked me in to installing my lift myself

A good size pry bar, 24" to help with getting the springs home. Some 1/2" impact socket could come in handy as well.

@Jerry Bransford , will you quit posting the same thing as me (jack stands) and at the same time hahahaha
Man ride the wave , when Jerry posts the same as you , you get 100 bonus points and a hat like his if it happens 3 times.

You also get 25 points if he likes your post...even slightly.

List it on your job resume.

I've seen @Jerry Bransford 's hat, I'm good.

I have a tiny compressor, only good for filling tires. So I bought this.

Got the battery and charger separate, which at the time saved a few bucks over the combo deal for some reason. I think it was about $350 total.

Totally worth it IMO. I used it to remove the crankshaft nut on my 4Runner. Torque spec for the nut is 230 ft/lbs, and it uses locktite. No problem. I have yet to find anything that it can't remove, or snap in half if it's too rusty. I also like that it has four different power settings. On the lowest I can put my lug nuts on and it doesn't over-torque them. The highest, well, hang on or it'll twist your arm off.

How do you switch the power settings on that Milwaukee impact?

Thanks Tony just learning about all this. Will this set work ok?

If you get an electric or air impact wrench you'll probably break one or more of these sockets. They aren't really made for use with impact wrenches. You'll at least need a set of heavier metric impact deep sockets for the 15 mm, but you may as well get both sets just because.

maybee this 1/2 inch

And something cool to drink for the heat and humidity. I really need to install AC in my garage.

I took the opportunity to clean everything off underneath with a wire wheel and do touchup paint for rust purposes. That took longer than installing the lift. With paint and added heat breaks to the process, I did the front one day and the rear the next. I did everything myself so it was slower too.

Some ratchet straps come in handy when needing to pull the axle one way or the other to get things lined up.

Some good one’s. I broke a ratchet strap installing new control arms and after it almost TKO’d me , I decided hemaning it is a better idea
