Too rich for my blood. The $170 for the JKS was pushing it.
I installed my JKS disconnects over the weekend. The passenger side has to be tapped off with a rubber mallet because it is so close to the track bar bracket. Is this normal?
Also, the hex head bolts at the top are soft crap. The head stripped out so easily way before the 40ft/lbs, so I replaced them with some standard grade 8 bolts.

My passenger side is close too. Not sure it’s that close. I would have to look. However, I think I bent that bracket a hair in my favor and then I make sure to re-mount the passenger side fist. Otherwise it’s more of a fight than it needs to be.
I replaced the original bolts with a bit longer and better bolts from the hardware store and I used a nut and lock washer on the backside. One of my bolts fell out on the road, leaving it dangling as I drove. I didn’t want a repeat.

Apologies. Mine is that close. I think what I recall is I bent it enough to just clear. I can pull it off by hand or a slight tap with my palm.
Also, I didn’t put the nut on the backside as I recalled. I just bought bolts and added a lock washer. Regardless, they haven’t fallen out. I still say, start on the passenger side when reconnecting because it is so tight.

Thanks, Ya I just used loctite on the new bolts. So hopefully that holds well enough.
