I'm interested in running a setup like this. Anybody run something similar and tow with their TJ?
I have a trailer I tow for camping (no tent on it). It looks about two or three times bigger than that. Tows just fine. It is more difficult to pull when in deep sand. Allows us to bring all of the creature comforts with us.
Agreed. I am building a solar charged 12 volt system for my trailer. It has two 12 volt batteries (same size as my Jeep's), a blutooth stereo with 6x9s and a healthy amp. I am installing two 18w solar panels with controller and have ordered a 12v water pump and sink for running water. I might even add a base station for comms to the Jeeps. The box I have built will double as a dining room table. The stereo cranks up fairly well, may even add a sub woofer (just because I can). Base camp at the beach or desert should have all of the luxuries. If I channel the Arabs who have desert camping down to a science, I'd get an oriental rug to lay out under an awning complete with sheesha pipe. Sadly, the pipe will not be fed with the real deal and I don't use tobacco, but tradition even if in appearance only should be maintained.
We get some harsh winds here . . . .Awesome! Thinking of picking it up. Could make for some fun affordable off ground camping!
You won't even know it is back there if you have the 4.0L.Awesome! Thinking of picking it up. Could make for some fun affordable off ground camping!
Thats why I put trailering mirrors on my truck. It is real nice if you can actually see what the trailer tires are rolling over.
@ac_ Has a setup very similar to what you’re looking at. And can probably expand on what his setup does.I'm interested in running a setup like this. Anybody run something similar and tow with their TJ?
