Is anyone here running the Savvy 3" springs with 32" tires? Would that be too much spring for my 265/75R16 Duratracs?
Currently have Fabtech (I think) 2.5" springs with spacers (came with the Jeep when I bought it) and am running Bilstein 5100s with Savvy control arms and adjustable track bars front and rear. Dave Kishpaugh helped setup the suspension sometime last year so bumpstops etc are properly done. I want to get rid of that spacer and keep the lift height nearly the same. Don't want to go any taller in lift and keeping these tires for now (no more than 33s maybe in the very far future).

@mrblaine would you recommend these springs for me? The jeep will be used for camping/hiking a lot with one other person+a German Shepherd dog, and couple road bikes in the rear. And light off-road trails, nothing technical for the time being.

I ran Savvy 3” springs with 33’s for multiple years. I don’t think it would be too much spring for 32’s personally. I could’ve used an extra .5” to .75” of lift with my 33’s.

I know this isn’t exactly the same as what you’re looking for, but here is a photo with nearly new 33” KM2’s.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing, and had also looked at JKS 3" springs.

Thanks. How loaded is your TJ typically?

Good photo btw. Where was this at?

I’ve read that the Savvy front springs don’t give 3” on most Jeeps. A spacer would still be needed most likely. JKS a good way to go

I’m not sure how much gear I had at the time, but I’m usually loaded pretty light (besides the hard top). I’ll have to find a photo with my soft top on.

The photo is up Curtis Canyon on the National Elk Refuge in Wyoming.

I should also add I have a .5” spacer in the front the to account for my winch. I will measure my springs later tonight to see how much actual lift they are giving me.

Take a look at the BDS 3" springs. They give me a little more than 3", but I also have a 4 banger with a soft top. The $$ is hard to beat. In conjunction with my JKS 1.25" BL, I run 33's with only 1" of bump stop extensions. I think 3" springs alone 32's should be great.

I have OME springs which gave me 2.5" in the front with a bumper and winch. I just put on a set 265/75r16 Duratrac's. There is plenty of room for articulation withouth the tires looking to small. I'm not sure what you would net with the savvy springs but I don't think .5 inches would be that noticable if you did get the full 3 inches.

But you don't want one?
I would think that that might be the better way to go at this point.

Not really looking into a tummy tuck or anything at this point and already dealing with a bad vibe issue so not looking to do a BL. I want to be able to clear 32s and have at the minimum stock uptravel/downtravel with the appropriate bumpstops and shocks.

Thanks. I have to look into those. Springs are like a blackhole ... so many options.

Thanks. Will research these too. I am sure to go crazy hahaha.

If you go with a linear spring, and know your sprung weights, your current spring rate and spring free height, you can do a little math and come pretty close to known lift height. Dual rate springs and progressive rate springs are a different ball game and are pretty much a guessing game. I believe Currie springs are progressive, JKS are dual rate, and BDS, OME, Procomp are linear. Just food for thought. Pretty sure your Fabtech's are linear.

The only problem is I have no idea exactly what springs I have. Agree that they are most likely linear. PO told me it was part of a Fabtech kit and that's all he knew. I am not able to find any info on that with the part# I see in the reciepts .. must have been long discontinued. I will decide between OME and Savvy, I think. Too much confusion otherwise.

Here is 2.5" with the 265's for reference. The only reason I went with OME is that they had multiple spring rates to choose from. I wanted my unlimited to sit level with a winch and bumper so I used their front spring for a ZJ. However,
anything Savvy is top notch so you really can't go wrong.

Did you SYE with the Savvy 3" suspension? Looks exactly how I want mine.
