What did you do to your TJ today?

Made more progress today, all that's left is hooking up the brake lines, bleeding, toss the wheels on and start breaking them in. Hopefully it will be finished tomorrow but having to run Dad around in the morning.

Doesn't Dad want to ride along for the break in procedure?

Seems like it was a pretty quick and easy install

Dad can't even get in it without the 3 step step stool.......... 🤣 🤣

The hardest part was grinding down the flange on the unit bearings.

I opened @mrblaine install instructions book and followed it till the end.

Updating my TJ.....rebuilt front Ujoints, JKS 3" springs, new bump stops, Skyjacker Black Maxx shocks, new pulleys and belt, upgraded all the wiring, rebuilt the top, new header, new door seals, put some sound deading and flooring in, replaced the steering wheel, got an amazing deal on used Bulldawg MFG uppers with sliding windows, B&M shifter, Savvy transfer case cables, Quadratec LED headlights and taillights, and put my Gladiator wheels and tires on the TJ. Original owner put Rough Country crap on it and the tires were dry rotted and prob not round. Drives like a dream now. More to come. Also a photo of my Ecodiesel Gladiator with the lift wheels and tires finally installed.

Nice work..So what did you do after lunch ? 😉

Started my Jeep to make sure it still runs. We are expecting 12-20" of snow Saturday night into Sunday. Maybe driving in the fun snow will make up for the two letters I've gotten in the past day. SS is going to cut my check by over $200 a month to pay for health insurance that I don't have/need. I last went to the doctor 3 years ago and they don't have any answers/cures for me. Then I get a letter from my landlord saying he's raising my rent $300 a month with 5 weeks left on the lease. No time to find somewhere else to live. $1600 for a small two bedroom condo. Not sure how all the illegals do it. Retirement my ass. Thank God I still have a gun. That's a solution for everything. 🇺🇸

Any reason you didn't buy BM lights? I know people that like the round look. (y)

There is a fairly large group of folks who think round tail lights are cool. I've had a few folks who I considered to be more discerning than the average Jeep owner who would not take a set of my lights for free even though I offered. We all like what we like.

I didn't really look too hard for alternatives once I found the trail tails. Although I do prefer the round look, I think it matches the headlights even though you can't see em at the same time. Now if we're talking about free lights I'll take what I can get (hint hint)😉

Prepped every vinyl panel, center console, dash etc. For SEM Color coat.

Now I just need a warm day in January to paint 😆View attachment 667950
Unfortunately stunk the whole house up, wife threatening bodily harm 🤪

SEM light buckskin and granite. Definitely lighter than original

You're offering them for free? I'll take a pair.🤣

I'm sure there are plenty of writeups but can you give a quick cliff notes outline on your prep process?

Probably best to see if it sticks 🤔🧐

Pulled everything out.

Washed with Mr clean and water which got rid of most ugliness.

Used denatured alcohol in spray bottle with Grey scotch Brite pad to give it all a scrub to remove contamination from oil, armor all etc.

Wiped everything down with lint free.clothes wetted with alochol to clear sanding dust.

I followed this you tube.
