I’m looking for a new set of 15” wheels. I’ve settled on black for the primary color, but I want some kind of polished accent as well. The all black steelies are too plain for my taste. I’ll be running them on 33x12.5s on my khaki TJ.

I’m between these from Fuel.

The reason I’m looking for alternatives is because I’m not a huge fan of the fuel brand and the simulated headlock on the mammoth is more gold than silver which really bothers me for some reason.

Do we like fuel as a brand?

Do you all have any suggestions for similar wheels? Or do any of you run either of the above? If so, post a picture so I can see them outside the website and website reviews. Thanks all!!

Those all look really good, especially pictures 1 and 3, the dark blue and red one. What size tires are on those? And are they 15x8 or 15x10?

Also, every Mammoth wheel you just posted looks like the simulated bead lock is bright and silver. But every picture of these wheels I see elsewhere, it looks gold or bronze. Like this one:

Is this actually how it looks in person? Center silver and outer bead lock in gold?
 
I've had ProComp, RC, and Cragar wheels in this style. U.S. Wheel (Stealth Daytona Series 844) uses silver bolts. Other companies do too.The red and blue Jeep had/have 15x10" wheels. I'd stick to 8". The blue Jeep had 33s and the red one has 35s. You can get whatever color center caps you like. Green Jeep on 35s with 8" wide wheels here.

Have you looked at Method or KMC? Icon too. Black wheels are all over the place...I would assume someone makes a wheel that you'd like. The other thing is that the bolt heads can generally be changed, with a little investigation. Go to a farm store and buy whatever "color" bolt you want by the pound and change them out.

Looks great. Why 8” over 10” in your opinion?

Good idea. I just assumed you couldn’t change the bolt heads. If I can get them in silver then this will be the wheel for me.

It would be something to verify before you spend a bunch of money, but yeah, they had to put them in somehow. They aren't going to be cast in or anything like that.

Not sure how most of them are but I've seen a few fake lock rings with the bolt heads being obviously fake and about every 3rd or 4th bolt is real and attaching the ring to the wheel. I didn't pay enough attention to it other than just noticing the oddity.

I think I’ve decided to go with these from Ion Alloy (174s)

Does anyone here have these wheels that could share some photos? I have a khaki TJ and think these look good with that color. What do you all think?
 
Mine purchased last May had these old Eagle 14-hole 15x8 alloys. They'd been rattle-canned at some point, so unsure about original "look" but probably more similar than not. I like the size as had on my old 2000 TJ but would have preferred same M/T "Challenger" forged wheels (made by Alcoa, IIRC), if those were still available. Nonetheless, these are quite serviceable plus I don't need faux or real beadlocks...
