I post this to help show and remind me that you don’t have to or need a “spec” build to go out there and have fun. I enjoy the building the process as much as wheeling but I have to remind myself at times how much fun the adventure of a trip brings.

We share a similar mindset when it comes to Jeep builds and I have to remind myself to not be so obsessive. While I've gotten a little better, I'm pretty sure I'll never get over it!

I wanted to make a joke that the second picture first took me as your emergency beef jerky supply — but I won't stoop to that, since you put together such a nice and complete kit.

If you're up for it, let's see if we can get together sometime over the holiday. With retirement, I've got time to do things like this now and can be flexible. I'm sure @SkylinesSuck would be up for a meet as well, depending on the day/time. I'll message you with my contact info.

I have a couple buddies like that. They bring their junk and send it. One is pretty particular about doing things "right" so his rig is pretty dependable...he just doesn't care about a little body damage or trail breakage. He has an inexpensive TJ, with a cheap lift and mish mash of parts. Lunchbox up front, limited slip in the back, 33's and a heavy right foot. Always has a blast.

The other guy also drives junk, and is just flat out cheap. Like wire nuts in the engine bay cheap. The frustrating thing for me is that he's cheap because he's lazy, not out of necessity. He could have a really nice rig, if he wanted to. He has both the intelligence and the financial ability to do so. He and I have had a few discussions about durability and how he "fixes" things. Like...No one wants to slow down their wheeling trip fixing the same guy's junk over and over because he doesn't do things correctly. He's getting better after a couple of these conversations...
