6-speed manual pops out of 1st

Should grab a spare while you are at it…

The assembly is $750

The boot is $2:15 and clamp another $1.18

So yes I will be buying spares. As much torque the diesel puts out I've cut the boots on the shifter plate. Ive cut it back already may need to trim some more.
I keep telling myself and my wife its cheaper to be buying parts now instead of later.

I should have bought a second unit for the Wife's JK and kept it on the shelf. I have to look back. But Im' thinking they were $525

Where did you find the replacement boot and clamp? At those prices, I need to get some spares, too!

The B&M may be extremely expensive. But you know what? It works, and it is considerably less expensive than rebuilding the 6-speed or putting in an AX-15. I actually consider it to be one of the best mods I have done to my TJ. I love the short throws.

Called them direct,

I'll post up the engineers part numbers here in a few, save some time on the phone call

*Note got thrown away, I don't have those part numbers handy anymore.

You do have to spend a minimum of $10 for them to mail them though.

Thanks, I'll call them today. And, if you're going to get spares, don't forget to get spares of the gasket that goes between the B&M housing and the NSG370. I was able to buy a couple of those back in June 2023 the same way - by calling Holley. I posted about that experience here. For reference, that engineering part number is 4101381-88.

I just called and ordered the spares (all currently out of stock, unfortunately). For future reference, here are part numbers for spare parts for the B&M 45195 shifter for the NSG-370. Note that these are not regularly-available parts with a consumer part number. They have what Holley (owner of the B&M brand) calls "engineering part numbers," which are internal part numbers they use when they assemble the shifters:
  • Replacement gasket between shifter and transmission: 4101381-88
  • Replacement boot at top of shifter: 4101352-00
  • Replacement clamp for boot: 3401540-00
I ordered two of each of the above, and cost with shipping and tax (8.25% here) was a reasonable (to me, anyway) $42.82.
