What did you do to your TJ today?

I'm just glad the inspection station guy knows me. In the past, I've had inspection stations look for reasons to fail me. Even decals on the windshield will fail you here in Va. He was shocked that I only drove the Jeep 453 miles since last years inspection.

So after you pass you have to put a decal on your windshield. But you can fail for having a decal on your windshield?

Took my springs in to the Powdercoaters today and debadged my OME shocks ready for paint this weekend if the weather holds.

Today was injector refresh day. When I pulled the fuel rail I found the nozzles all encrusted with carbon and the injector ports black and crusty as well. I didn't take pics of the crustiness. Got the ports all nice and shiny. Replaced both o rings on all injectors. When removing the old o rings I could see micro cracks on all them. So definitely time. Used this handy injector cleaner setup to run some Gumout through the injectors.

Also installed a new heat shield I bought back in 2019.

Got everything mostly buttoned up. Just waiting on a new connector for the a/c clutch. The latch on the old one crumbled under pressure.

did anyone answer your seat heater question?

Wow that was an old question. LOL

I think I ordered a Doorman set after looking around. It's sitting on the parts shelf with the seat foam along with a lot of other parts that need to be put on. I would want to do the seat back foam at the same time. Maybe this winter I'll have time to take the seats out and work on them in the basement. Jeep priorities keep moving further down the list unfortunately.

My rescue project daily driver now getting a little 2.5" lift. Other than one really stubborn upper shock nut this process has been surprisingly easy. Everything being replaced was stock and no longer functional so even though these shocks aren't expensive I expect a huge improvement over what was there. The old springs were actually four inches shorter in front than these 2.5" replacements. Maybe due to the increased load of a snow plow this Jeep usually carried previously.
