For all of us with two wheels also

Always loved the FLH. This was actually the first year after the very failed experiment of the 1971 Superglide, which was the Boat Tail superglide. Most thought it was hideous and almost none survived. I picked up a 1971 Superglide a couple years ago but the boattail stuff is long gone....

I learned something today. The youngest grandkids butts are now too big for them to both sit in the hack together.

Because I was picking up Owen at his parents place, I test fit him on the pillion and his tootsies reached the foot pegs. I had him switch to jeans to ride two up and away we went to an antique bike show. He loved it back there and pointed out every cool car. I didn't take pics of bikes but I did take pics of the grands on mine.

Riding back home, I pulled up next to a Camaro in Ukrainian colors at a light. Owen was beside himself, then the owner revved the engine for him. Owen and Lauren both applauded that.

Started the process of looking for a newer bike.
While I love my 2007 Ultra, I'm tired of it not being as reliable as I need it to be.
It doesn't impress me when it spends more time waiting for service than being ridden.

So far, I like this 2015:

While it's not blue, it's also not red or black, so it has that going for it.
And that fat front tire setup (180) is just sick.

Here’s the current members of the fleet. If you would have told me 5 years ago that’d I’d own a Harley I would have told you you were stoned but I love it. 2024 Roadglide and 2014 KTM 300XCW

I used to say the same thing before I bought my first one and then I got a Road Glide in 2009 and owned one until I got my Pan America in 23.

Newest member of the family. Not a bad consolation prize for having to sell the Jeep, and much more practical with the roads and gas prices in Sicily!
Pick her up Thursday or Friday.
2019 KTM 1290. All the bells and whistles! Runs like demons are after it.

So, I tried on the BMW and the Africa Twin. The BMW doesn't fit right and i didn't like the ride. The AT fits well, but havent been able to find a decent price on oneand was actually seriously considering a Pan America for sale locally. Dude marketed it as a 24 but the Stator cover was a 23 and the VIN came back as a 23. I asked him about it and he didn't know a thing about the PA's issues. Combined with the scarcity of parts over here, i just noped out of that.
The KTM is actually a US spec bike being sold by a service member heading for Japan.
The US spec will make it much easier to take back to the states.

I'd guess you made a wise choice on this since as you said parts for the Pan America would be a lot harder to obtain. The African Twin would have been another good choice but I like the KTM more too.
Good luck with it.

That's a beast. I ride an 1190 Adventure. Great bike.

Test rode a 2017 CVO Ultra Classic today.
Nice bike w/ plenty of power out of the 114.

So far, it's at the top of the list...

Like most bikes out there, I'll need to add 14" bars and a seat that scoots me back away from the tank a bit.
I had to lift my entire right leg to apply the rear brakes, because my feet are so close to the pedal I couldn't just apply them w/ the ball of my foot
