Seat lowering mounts

My seat mounts work out great for me.

Just enough room to fit a sub underneath the seat , and I don’t have to worry about hitting my head on the roll bar

That sweet! You sent me the pic of them installed with the seats but I did not know a sub fits under like that! I might do something like that with mine and turn my sub center console into more storage instead.

Is anyone genuinely interested in having some brackets made to lower the seats? I designed these to fit the 97-02 seat sliders but might fit the 03-06 sliders and when I get the first set in I can test it on my LJ. I was thinking of coming in at $250+shipping no paint for a set of 4. These will also move the sliders back approximately 2in since I never found the furthest point back on stock seat risers to be enough but with the current seat relocation brackets I have that move them back 4in, I only go back not even half way.

Your brackets will lower my factory 1997 seats 2” AND place it back 2” ?!
I loathe the Big Boy brackets, with how they raise my seat up. I needed to get my knees away from the dash though…

PM sent. This should help keep your knee away from the dash, certainly was a problem for me which is why I designed these and it helped alot!

Hi @XCRN I'm also new and can't PM but I just bought a '98 and would be happy to buy a lowering mount from you if you have more. Feel free to email me at prophecyguitarman@yahoo.com (silly username I know, made it in middle school..). Thanks!

Sent an email, and welcome!

I got mine, and had them plated for corrosion protection. I needed to use them AND the big boy brackets to get my seat both lowered and moved back properly. The combination of the two products is a game changer for my comfort in my Jeep.

I did the same, I have @XCRN 's brackets combined with the Big Boy brackets. I rattlecan bedliner'd mine but corrosion is not a huge concern here in CA.

I liked the big boy brackets well enough, but I found I was still ducking my head down to see stoplights and such through the windshield (or looking out through the open top).

XCRN's brackets are great overall. The only thing I don't like is that they don't mirror the factory recline angle of the seat and position the seat flatter. I attempted to remedy this by adding a spacer under the front side of the bracketry, but would really still like more recline angle... Might just be my particular setup.

As I said the brackets themselves are awesome and the setup has been amazing for me who at 6'6" is arguably too big for a TJ.

That is fancy, I really like the zinc plating! Glad to hear they helped!

I did learn a bit from the first sets and did change the design to get the angle set closer to factory. But I really appreciate the vouch!

Yeah, you definitely did a great job with the brackets, I'm a fan.

How much does the new design affect the angle? I'd consider getting a set of the updated ones if it's a significant change/improvement.

So the first batch I did not account for the angle too well and that was the purpose of the spacer going in the rear as an impromptu fix. Basically made the mistake of it being flat and not getting the mounting height right from front to rear mount. So thats why the first few sets binds and little when installed as designed which I am finding out with the BB brackets also being used, you cant really install as designed too easily.

The re-design gets the factory angle correct with no bind, but still uses a spacer in the rear mostly so it can work with thick flooring like Armorlite. And it also works on all 97-06 sliders as a bolt-in instead of needing modifications to also work on 03-06 seat sliders. I think these would likely install on the BB brackets way easier with less/no extra spacers needed.
