Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

Throwing in a bonus photo I found from before the tire change.
3 inch lift with 33s.
Added the 1.25 Savvy Body lift and went to 35s.

Your Jeep is an odd color. What might it be called? @tr21triton might know. Although I hear @AndyG and @John Cooper had him drink some unused moonshine they made before his purchase. ;)

It comes with this kit which has been installed by a previous owner. I have not done any of this work except what you have seen some other stuff not posted. Nothing major except the top change. Next major, my rear diff. I had no choice but to button that up, some made a comment I wouldn’t drive that, I do agree, but my wife’s dental work is number one right now. Thanks all for your input.
just plain sexy looking!!!!!

What skid system are you using?

Are you looking to adopt an old man with a Black Rubicon by chance... ..... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

This has been fun and can’t wait for him to get it back. Oh by the way. I’m going on a Tiger Cruise. That’s a 3 day 2 night Cruise on an active duty US Navy ship.

I’m excited

🇺🇸

We did that on the USS Ronald Reagan 10 years ago when our son, an F/A-18 pilot was an instructor at Miramar.

So thought I'd install my NTK downstream O2 sensors this morning. Before beginning to remove the old ones I thought I'd check the new ones. Well I pop open the one box & it's an old, used sensor?? I'm like really, went back to stupid Autozone & they have none available in all of Phoenix. So got a refund & I griped I should have ordered them from Rock Auto & left?!! So just ordered the NTKs from Rock Auto. So what did I do to my TJ? Not a damn thing!!

Front driveshaft fun continues...

642.jpg

Can't press the U-joints as far out as others because of the centering ball/yoke assy.

643.jpg

Naturally, despite repeated attempts and pressing the thing from side to side multiple times, that damn thing was NOT coming out...

645.jpg

I'm not asking anymore...

644.jpg

Cut both sides off.

That showed the bastud!

Painting of the DS and the shovel proceeds apace. Since I can't really do much else until I get the correct centering ball assy in hand, I'm going to change gears tomorrow and install the Savvy TC shift kit.

Could you not get the caps out of the centering yoke?

I seem to remember getting the cups off there first and then the yoke.

Little prep for Winter 4x4. Tranny seems to be leaking between the transmission and t-case. I'll pull the T-Case tomorrow. Grab a few seals and some gender fluid and this tranny should be ready to roll. 🤞
Otherwise I corrected the mounts for the engine skid that I mounted incorrectly and painted up the hardware.
I also torqued all the body mounts bolts again since it's settled a little since installing.

Yea, they came right out of the yoke, but I couldn't get them out of the main "housing" or whatever its called. Had another U-joint pull the same thing - BUT - only one side did it and I was able to extract the joint with the stuck cap in place and drift it out afterwards.

I finally bought the Hook road inside cargo basket and installed it today. View attachment 574656

I think I will be posting my back seat for sale tomorrow. I will take pictures and post it to the forum. It will have all of the hardware to attach it to the floor plus the center seat belt. I will also have the rear seat belts available.

Very interesting, gathering data and creating bill of materials including tools. Clear out room in garage for axle removal. Didn’t do squat on Jeep today, needed the rest. Nursing pinky finger, I spliced it open closing up diff yesterday. I am very bad when comes to wearing gloves taking them on and off to thread bolts and back to wrench. One reason I buttoned her up. to move her around and a run to the archery range tomorrow? before I down her for while. Need my fix to go shoot some foam animals. I am thinking of selling my fully refurbished/updated 07 Yeti 575 MTB to fund diff rebuild.
