Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

I painted the floors. It wasn’t too bad. No rust, just spots with bare metal near the front mat area. Cleaning behind dash was a pain. Tons of dog fur, sand and mud.

I just found out the air force base near me has an auto hobby shop. W lifts. So you just pay a small fee to use the shop. So thought it would be a good idea to get under there and add heat shield material. Still not sure what to put down under the floor on the inside. The rear has carpet.

The front I’m making out of rubber mats and using buttons to snap together to create a rubber floor.

Think I should put something under it. Insulation so the AC can efficiently run better. And something for sound for the speaker quality/ quiet cabin noise would be nice, but not that important to me.

I like to keep things simple sometimes

I put this down under my BedRug. It made a world of difference in the heat and sound.

Awesome. Not like I've given it much thought, but I was kinda surprised to see the factory stuck all that stuff to the carpet itself. I wonder if it makes a difference

I'm thinking the reason they stuck it to the rug was so it could all be pulled out and leave nothing but the bare tub and plugs for easier drainage/washout.

It’s back on its own weight, a lot to finish up weld everything up, paint, brake lines, amongst many other things. Trimming of the brackets, checking clearances again it’s real close to touching back of bracket at full droop. All said a productive day, a ton of stuff to finish but good milestone. Sitting at 99” on the money.

Went on a ride with my wife/best friend/navigator Friday the 23rd… Didn’t have any idea it would be our last… She passed early Saturday morning from a heart attack… Please keep our family in your prayers… Cherish the time you have with your loved ones because more time is not guaranteed!

My condolences to you my friend🙏🏼
Atleast yall got to share another memory with ya before going🙂, I cherished every moment with one of my family members and a few due to Gun/gang violence but with my grandpops especially i try not to cry but at the same time i laugh and smile of the memories made cause i truly got to give my love to him 🥺
For anyone! Although everyone's situation may vary i still wish/hope that you can give your every bit of love&happiness to your loved one/s! Cause i know what it feels like knowing that you didn't/couldn't share one last memory "within time" to your friend/family member! but hey.....that's life and it'll keep moving on before one knows it. Although you can't just get over it all like nothing happened, since all you can do is heal and reminisce on those good memories shared
