Best upgrade EVER. But I'm unique in the Jeep community in that I'm trying to make my TJ more comfortable instead of the other direction
Don't get me wrong. I love buying Jeeps with hard tops. They're good for about $750 in actual "upgrades".

I've been looking for a reasonably priced, good OEM hard top. Isn't it time for you to get another Jeep?

What is your mpg requirement for the tow vehicle?
I have a 1.25 body lift over you, have not re-geared from 3.07 yet… getting solid 16, sometimes 17 mixed driving… 70+ mph to city

I'm thinking there's got to be a way to use my stinger to deploy a grappling hook to semi's bumpers on the highway. The winch allows you to adjust following distance.
I've always thought the bigger issue would be letting go when it's time to part ways. Maybe deploy a dwarf with bolt cutters?

I've wanted to to that since the 1970s. But I was worried I wouldn't be able to disconnect, and would end up in Albuquerque instead of Minneapolis. Now a dwarf with bolt cutters has me thinking again...

Wrecker service is free with my insurance. Their mpg requirements aren't my concern.
I think you missed my point. The only way your TJ is going to get 20mpg is towing down the road.
13-14 mpg. 5 speed / 4.88s / 35" mud tires. 70 mph till I get to the trail then 2.2 mph average. I drive a Prius during the week so I can afford to drive my Jeep on the weekends. ;-D
