Well. I unhooked the O2 and be damn the jeep ran like a top ! Got to the kennels to feed and water the rescue pups and when I went to leave…dead. Totally dead. Called the wife. She boosted me off. Now I’m getting a pegged out volt gauge and warning light of course. It ran freakin amazing tho! Got home, killed it and it’s dead again. Like hammer dead. I’m out on a rescue call now and can’t check anything till tomorrow but looks like I’m either buying a new battery or new alternator 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤬

That’s weird! I wouldn’t think that unplugging the O2 sensors would do that!

Maybe it fried something in the CPU?

I think someone custom tuned the PCM. Removing the O2 as I suggested forced the Jeep to use default fuel tables.

At this point I'd most certainly be looking at the pins on the PCM connectors and delooming and inspecting every inch of that wiring harness.

I've seen a sensor short internally and take down the vref on that branch but if I recall you said you checked vref earlier.

I did but with this schizophrenic ass jeep who knows what it is now.

I don’t think the two are related. Surly the hell not ???? I’ll be testing the battery and alternator tomorrow. I HOPE they are unrelated.

Sorry guys !! I should have been more specific. The ground point near the oil filter was loose and badly corroded. I took it off and cleaned it up. I then went on a ground hunt excursion. I found 8 total including the battery. The oil filter one was the offender but I figured a thorough cleaning of them all couldn’t hurt. My manifold isn’t glowing now with the O2 unplugged. I’m waiting on a new NKG O2 to come in through Oreilleys. When it gets here I will either make my own plug or get an aftermarket 4 wire plug and replace both ends. I think the bad plug fried the other sensor
