Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ radiator

What did you do to your TJ today?

Haven't installed it yet but picked one of these up on the marketplace today.

It looks brand new and includes everything sensor/harness/controller/instructions.

No epoxy used in construction so I'm hoping it will last.

The one I got is a three row instead of the stock 2 row.

I'm actually thinking of selling my Rubicon after 8 years. The camshaft issue came and went. Many hours of driving and then today only 1 mile from home and road construction going on....popping, bucking, smoke from engine and no start. Stuck in traffic and blocking anyone from getting by. 10 minutes in 100+ temps with 98% humidity. Some guy stopped and helped me get it off the road. Walked home to get some tools....3 times. P1391. I disconnected the battery, reconnected it and barely made it that 1 mile (ran red light). I need something more reliable at this point. I would've been fine if it was only 85 and low humidity.

Oofff. 98% humidity and 100 degrees would make me grumpy

Picked up my light kit from the Toyota dealership today.

Many thanks to @red02tj for pointing out the $14 price.

When I walked up to the counter and the guy brought it out, he says, 'So what year is your Jeep?" 🤣

He said they process anywhere from 17-20 of these kits per week, most of them shipped out.

Hopefully get a chance to install it soon.

Heck of a kit for $14.

The harness and relays are very beefy.

It includes a handful of heavy duty zip ties as well.

I did the same exact kit, you can get the hella 100W bulbs off amazon for cheap, maybe $3 a bulb.

Go to your local True Value or Ace hardware and pickup some stainless steel fasteners to replace them.

Was thinking the same thing. It might be worth a road trip LOL

Replace them with stainless bolts.

I currently have the aftermarket plastic capped ones. The T-nut style makes them super easy to take off. Maybe they sell these in stainless too.

Coat hanger fairlead/winch line on. Winch stopped working in the process so I pulled it apart a bit and cleaned up the contacts. Should be getting a clamp delivered here shortly so I can cut a quick turndown for the muffler.

I've got a bunch of wiring, some welding and painting to do, but I think I might just go cruise around today. Need to find a nice long uphill stretch somewhere to let the line out and re-spool it with some tension on it. It's been a while since the stars have aligned and the Jeep was drive-able, I was off work, and it wasn't raining, all at the same time.

Shopped clock springs to (hopefully) correct my barely functioning left hand turn signal. Why TF are those so expensive??????
