Car pics too cool not to share

Good truck, that....though the body will probably rot off long before the engine gives up the ghost...

3rd and 4th generation Toyota pickups with the 22R powerplant were good little machines, and not a bad looking body design, either. (y)

Very clean totally stock YJ Renegade orphan. What was Jeep thinking?

Didn't some of the export spec TJ's have some of that funkiness going on? Looks like it's got a disease...probably ped safety garbage... 😯

Edit: found a photo...

Then it's going to last forever body rot isn't a thing here.

That might be to completely cover the tires?

The YJ Renegade was just Jeep weirdness.

The 82 and older engine gave a much longer , trouble free life . the double row timing chain could last 400-500 thousand miles. The 83 and up single row with plastic guides start having issues at 100 - 150 thousand . The 8 more horsepower isn't worth the issues in my opinion.

The tornado engine was kinda weird , putting a SOHC Hemi head on a under square tractor motor really doesn't make sense.
The overhead cam and hemi head potentially allow high Revs , but this was installed on an engine that hated to rev over 3500 r.p.m.
The front cover /mount leaked oil like crazy , and a buddy mechanic who was in Nam told me the engine ate cams due to a lack of oiling.
But hey , at 575 lbs. it weighed what a 350 SBC weighs that has twice the h.p. and almost twice the torque.

I had an older Wagoneer with a tornado engine in it and yes it liked to mark all it's parking spots. But it was my first FSJ and I did enjoy it for the short time I owned it. It was a good AK vehicle.

Fair point. :D

Did you buy that? If so, nice score!

That might be to completely cover the tires?

That's what I was figuring, that and to close up the gaps where an arm or leg could get caught up in... :sneaky:

Agreed. Looks like a really bad attempt at a body kit for a vehicle that should never have a feckin' body kit.

...and often did. I recall that being a big selling feature in their magazine ads. I knew a number of people who had them and swore by them.
