Rear Cup Holders (97-02)

What are you using for cup holders in the rear seats on your 97-02 TJ's?

Looking for something for my kids when they are back there. My oldest (8) is big enough to not need her booster seat in the TJ so she doesn't have the one built in. The youngest (5) still uses his car seat so it has one built into it. My center console is in near perfect shape, so I'd prefer not to swap it for a 03-06 one.

No, the '03+ center console has the cup holders built into the console. I've looked at those too. Was looking for something that she could put a cup in from McDonald's for instance.

I know you said you dont want to... but Ive got a subless 03 rear portion in storage that is in pretty decent shape. dont know what the rape fees are for shipping but it's not worth anything to me otherwise.. I should just toss it out. one gouge from the lid rubbing and a few light abrasions here and there.

Thanks. Let me ponder on it. I'd have to find a front half since my console isn't 2-piece.

First off...no rear seats in my 97. My rear cup holders behind the center console have a can of Sprayway glass cleaner and a can of WD-40.

Lot of MOLLE cup and canteen holders out there...I've attached those to the outside edges of my Bartac seat covers. Nice thing about those is they generally fold flat and stay out of the way or can be easily unsnapped. You can get MOLLE panels and glue, screw and strap them to just about everything.

They make some that have velcro straps for the roll bar.

I read through that thread.

I found a couple of '03+ center consoles, but holy crap people think they are made of gold. I can't bring myself to pay $300+ for one.

A roll of duct tape seriously worked for me in my FJ60 Land Cruiser. It was an '83 and had no factory cupholders.

My kids wouldn't do well with just a roll of duct tape.

Depends on how big they are...but I'm sure you could duct tape a couple of them to the back seat with a single roll. =)

A single roll of good duct tape would do them both. Holding them in place while doing it is another story.
