A repaint of the vents needing to happen-

Only so many hours in a day -

Edge pressure got it when I snugged ‘em down- good reason to paint all sides or at least wrap something- you’ll always see that on factory work.

Lift happening right now

Plus about to floor my sons trailer-

After I chase material.

CMM Offroad Grab Handles...

With the recent half doors I had to do away with my much loved a-pillar mounted Frankenmirrors that were perfect for doorless. The mount for the mirrors interfered with the leading edge of the half door upper so I switched to '03 - '06 mirrors on the half doors and will do the same on the full doors.

I hated the soft grab handle mounted to the roll bar and wanted more appropriate grab handles as well. Grabars and ATPs were my preference but both were on the unobtainium list and neither helped with the mirror issue. The CMMs are stupid pricey, but build is rock solid, installation was a breeze and their doors off mirrors were a neat solution.

Removed the roll bar, cleaned and painted. Reinstalled all and moved the paracord grab handles to the back.

Today Tess carried me to a local barbecue joint for a late lunch/anniversary dinner...

One fresh brisket sammy and some laser potatoes with chipotle sauce.

A year ago today I received Tessie (Texas Tea) off a car carrier about half a block from my rental, shipped from Belton, Texas. She's my first Jeep and I've enjoyed the hell out of owning and driving her over the last year. Here's to many more....

Raided the wife's candle stash so I could wax the zippers on both Jeeps. Youngest grandchild turned 13 last year so she won't miss the 3..lol

Gutted the interior and gave all the hard surfaces a good cleaning this morning.

Progressed to blasting out the carpeting with the pressure washer a little bit ago. carpeting is dripping dry at the moment, soon to be transferred to the basement with the running dehumidifier.

Took BB to a benefit Jeep cruise in.

47 Jeeps total and 5 were TJ's, 1 YJ, 1 CJ5, 1 CJ7 and one jeepster commando.

The rest were JK, JL and JT's.

I did notice today that at idle and when reving the engine I can hear the alternator wine after installing the cables. Maybe the alternator is going out?

I won't disagree, the fire department has hosted this last year and this year for Christmas for Kids, in South Pittsburgh TN.

I can overlook a bunch of stuff when it is beneficial to kids having a Christmas!!!!

Just had discount tire remove five 35” STT Pros from my 15” wheels so I could sell the tires right away.

They tore the spare tire so I left it with them to throw away and didn't make a fuss.

I got home to take photos and realized their machine cut another tire with about 50%-60% tread left and cut my two newest tires that are only four months old (near full tread left).

I now have one tire left to sell.

Installed the new aluminum brackets I designed for the stereo instead of tracking down the vacuum leak. Anyone with a 2002 will tell you a double din stereo doesn't fit, but for a few hundred bucks, you can make it work. Yes, it's very dirty. I live in a desert and it's a Jeep that's seen more miles off-road than on-road.

Washed the exterior and wiped down the interior after a four day trip to Barstow. We ran Odessa canyon and exploring the Calico Mine area. Great trip!

I didn't do anything to my Jeep today, but because of doing stuff to my Jeep in the past, I did something today. I did almost all of the 30k maintenance on my Subaru today. From gaining experience and confidence with working on the Jeep, I replaced the rear diff fluid, manual transmission fluid, brake fluid, and cooling fluid on the Subaru as well as replacing the reverse light switch. Hell yeah, getting my hands dirty in the garage!
