I didn't use anything when I removed mine. Either of my impacts seems to do the trick.
Not sure if it's the hammering effect or what, but impacts are better than pull handles (breaker bars)

That's one thing I didn't try. I was afraid I might dent the door.
Finally had a spare minute to change the fuel tank skid plate. My brother had this one laying around from his TJ that he stretched. Can't beat a free new to me skid plate. I can't believe the way the skid plate looked that the entire Jeep isn't ate up with rust. Changed the fuel pump while the tank was out. It starts, idles, and runs much better.
So jealous of you guys with space and lifts.
Leak down tested my 2.4L and looks like cylinder 3 had 8% leak, which was more than any other cylinder and was the only one to leak out of the intake at combustion stroke TDC…

It is definitely worth the $3k for one. It makes just changing the oil and rotating the tires about 1/2 the time faster.Space I got, lift I don't.
Spent the day in the garage with the girls swapping out flares, changing a bunch of bulbs and replacing the battery. The Girls did most everything, except hold the flashlight straight. I imagine that come with time.
I remember my dad yelling at me to hold the "damn flashlight right here". LOL I think it builds character for the kids. I do it to mine.

Today was the first decent chance to pop the doors off, so that's what I did. I planned to spend the evening cruising around some backroads, but a buddy called for help after coming home to a busted waterline in his kitchen, so I just drove it to his place instead.
We had pocket flares that I wasn't a fan of, put some bushwacker flats on until this winter when I Metal Cloak everything.
You need a lift. I've seen several on FB Marketplace for less than $2k recently. Your back will thank you.

I was born in Orange, VA. Have many relatives there and in Barboursville.
I use the Griotts Garage Black Satin Tire Coating. Though it's an aerosol, it's a real PITA to apply. I prefer a matte deep black as opposed to a shiny kid stuff look, so as I spray I use a stiff brush to work it in and knock down the shine. It actually looks best after the first rain on it, doesn't turn ugly brown (ever) and doesn't need to be reapplied for a few months.
And some kind of exhaust tip. Or a can of high temp BBQ black paint maybe?
Thought the same thing. That's a huge (and mostly empty) shop. I would kill for an enclosed shop with a lift...
I know the Bushwacker flat flares aren't very popular here, but I love them. Good work! And that paint looks great. Your daughter is precarilously close to the paint with the screw gun.. ! That would make me nervous !!
