What did you do to your TJ today?

IDK if anyone has heard of Amazon Vine, but it's a private site (invite only) within Amazon where you can try products for free & review them. Anyway, I just got a t-case cable shifter. I'm sure this will trigger someone because it's most likely a copy made in China, but free is free. I'll compare to the Savvy I have on my 97.

Oh, and a multi-function switch for my 02.

I would love to get an invite to Vine… (BTW…. That shifter is fine… I’m using it now!)

Installed the new Sierra Off Road Trilogy top on my 97 TJ… the topic has come up before about whether the top will fit a 97 through an O2… Sierra off-road says it only fits 03 - 06… it fits a 97 with no problems at all, even the box says for 97 to 06

Very nice top, a lot of heavier than any other top I’ve had including a best top, very quiet on the road and seems to hold the AC well… At $289 and free shipping you can’t beat it…

Didn't do anything to my lj but I got a hell of a deal on an American racing headers setup😁
Brand new for 433 bucks it's not the 1" 3/4 setup that I bought tbrough vivid racing and have to wait for but it's the 1" 5/8 setup😁
Either way I'm extremely happy and this is what I need to get my jeep back up and running apart from my head

Saved 1300 bucks !

Got the last flare off. The job got easier as it went along. My new best friends, PB Blaster, an 8mm ratchet wrench, a small pair of vice grip pliers, and the set of trim removal tools (Bojo?). Clamped onto the spinning nutserts and the plastic nuts with the vice grips. Pulled the wheel well liners loose with the trim tools. Couldn't do it without the ratchet wrench.
Next replace all the nutserts and drill the rocker panels for Rubicon rails.

Took me a 2nd to realize that airplane isn't riding on 33's & trying to wheel stack.

it's actually riding on 35s just like the jeep

Today I tried again to rid the front shaft wah war's.... You know the one, 35's, 5.13's , 75mph wah wah wah she goes down the highway ... Have triple checked and adjusted the angles, triple checked UJ's , np joy. On a whim I decided to try a balance masters. Have had ok luck with them on aircraft flywheels / props.... located as instructed it marginally helped, slid all the way down to the meeting of the 2 halves (the most intuitive place to me) it worked better, but not really worthy. Net net... worked on other applications, but can't recommend it for tj front shaft blues. What's left but hubs?

Take care, Rob

That would drive me insane. Maybe it's because I work in IT, but none of the tech in cars impresses me. It all seems poorly executed and more of a distraction than something helpful. Carplay is the only exception, but the last thing I want to do on my way home from work is interact with another screen.

THANK YOU!!! As a lifetime "computer geek", I agree 110%!!

Got a set of ratchet wrench’s about 2 years ago, a fabulous investment. Not sure how I did without them for 30 plus years 😂

Now you need some entry guards. ;)

I like the tape guards to keep the black strip from below the doors when closed (I know there are versions that stay inside the door and I'm eyeing them). I've eyed 3M clear tape options but haven't pulled the trigger.

Long statement to say — I feel @Cooper Smith in knowing it needs attention and haven't picked a solution. ;)

My solution is leaving it. She's already got rust holes by the tailgate, I'm not worried about door jambs. :ROFLMAO:

At one time, the largest manufacturer of computer chips (4 bit SC/MP) was AC-Delco! They bought a license to manufacture the National Semi chip and away they went. I think at one time they had those things in every GM vehicle on the road.

Removing the rear flares with the inner liners in place is one of, if not the worst jobs on a TJ.
