That is crazy cool! Now I know where you were getting your front bumper ideas from.
LOL Actually, not at all. I was just trying to think of a curved front bumper that actually had some meat to it. I originally thought of the '49-'51 Ford passenger car (not surprisingly, I used to own a '49 2-door sedan), but then I'd have to deal with removing the chrome. Then I remembered my '52 Studebaker 1/2 ton, and voila! There's my bumper! The FJ site is just because I love those things. I'm funny that way... ;)

My father in laws 51’ studebaker truck. He’s still working on the rebuild. The hood is what the final paint will be like.

Oh man, does that ever take me back! I was 15, and my family rented a house from a guy who was a Studebaker nut. Had a Silver Hawk and a Hawk GT (?) in the barn. He turned me onto a truck in Seattle. I paid $10 for the truck, $12 for a FSM, and mowed the landlord's lawn for a factory radiator. I stripped it down to the frame and started cleaning/painting/repairing. When my folks decided to move to Heppner, Oregon, I stayed behind with some family friends to finish high school. I sold Dad the truck, he finished it, and drove it for about 4 years before selling it. Good memories. Good times! Thanks for sharing the pic! Feel free to PM me any more pics of that thing. I'm in love!

Thanks. The studebaker is a great truck. You just don’t see many of them on the road anymore. My father in law also Has a 2 wheel Drive 54’ Chevy 5 window pickup. Super cool but I don’t have any photos of it in my phone.
Those 5 window Chevys are really cool and highly sought after.
