LOL Actually, not at all. I was just trying to think of a curved front bumper that actually had some meat to it. I originally thought of the '49-'51 Ford passenger car (not surprisingly, I used to own a '49 2-door sedan), but then I'd have to deal with removing the chrome. Then I remembered my '52 Studebaker 1/2 ton, and voila! There's my bumper! The FJ site is just because I love those things. I'm funny that way...That is crazy cool! Now I know where you were getting your front bumper ideas from.

@UpperMI Wow now that's a beautiful truck!
Oh man, does that ever take me back! I was 15, and my family rented a house from a guy who was a Studebaker nut. Had a Silver Hawk and a Hawk GT (?) in the barn. He turned me onto a truck in Seattle. I paid $10 for the truck, $12 for a FSM, and mowed the landlord's lawn for a factory radiator. I stripped it down to the frame and started cleaning/painting/repairing. When my folks decided to move to Heppner, Oregon, I stayed behind with some family friends to finish high school. I sold Dad the truck, he finished it, and drove it for about 4 years before selling it. Good memories. Good times! Thanks for sharing the pic! Feel free to PM me any more pics of that thing. I'm in love! :thumbsup:My father in laws 51’ studebaker truck. He’s still working on the rebuild. The hood is what the final paint will be like.

Those 5 window Chevys are really cool and highly sought after.Thanks. The studebaker is a great truck. You just don’t see many of them on the road anymore. My father in law also Has a 2 wheel Drive 54’ Chevy 5 window pickup. Super cool but I don’t have any photos of it in my phone.
