What did you do to your TJ today?

Yeah, i'm going to try tomorrow. I've already showered for the day and don't feel like getting dirty again.
I'll drop the skid again if I need to. This was the bolt that I was worried about. I should have done the right thing instead of hoping for the best. I learned a lesson.
EDIT: Yeah, I'm going to have to drop the skid and undo a bracket or two to be able to get that bolt properly torqued. Damnit.

Rolled another milestone yesterday and it held until I got into the driveway.
Master Chief is not messing around. That's for sure.
Finally the weather cooperated and I had time to do something that I should have done back in 2018 when I bought the Jeep.
Drill drain holes in the frame! Why I took so long is beyond me, especially where I live. If you haven't done it yet DO IT, I was amazed at how much water came out of the frame from washing when I was drilling the holes.
Hopefully I will get @TheBoogieman approval for drilling holes in front of the skid plate. Skid plate is off for frame painting touch up tomorrow.
Going for it's yearly FF spraying next month.

You could try a torque adapter extension. I don't know the size of the top of my head, but maybe you could find an individual piece so it's not so costly if it doesn't help. Just keep it in-line with the beam of your torque wrench, unless you feel like doing the math to figure out the correct torque.

I should do some searching about this. Are there specific locations suggested? Obviously I understand the premise of water draining best at the lowest point, but wondering if there is any reason to NOT go at the low point for strength or anything like that.
If you search there are quite a few threads on it. I just went 1.5" from the edge of the control arm mount and drilled 5/8" diameter holes this seemed to be the most common spot. The one in front of the skid plate was the same 1.5" distance from the edge. This was a recommendation @TheBoogieman posted in some threads, he's owned a lot of Jeeps. Also debur the hole edges inside and out.
And the way I look at it more clean out spots will only help with keeping crap out of the frame. Off now to start the painting part of the project.

You and I are doing similar things. It is taking me longer though.
I've also replaced the water pump, t-stat, radiator, and the diff fluids. I didn't do the shocks though.
Figured out the reason folks use YJ or extended brake lines on the front after a lift. Passenger side failed on the trail yesterday and kind of put the kybosh on the rest of the trail. Sigh, new extended Dormans are on order.
That was easier than I thought. Since I went through the learning process of removing the skid plate about a week ago, taking it off again today was quick and easy. I got that particular bolt torqued to 13 ft-lbs. I loosed the 2 next it just a bit, torqued the problematic bolt, and then retorqued the two around it. I'm going to leave the skid off for about a day to see if there are any other leaks and then I can try to fix them.

I need to flush the power steering fluid. Yesterday, I pumped out all the fluid in the reservoir and filled it back up with new fluid. I read in these forums to drive it around a bit to circulate the fluid. Then, pump it out again, fill it back up, and you are good to go. How many miles do I need to drive it to properly circulate all the PS fluid in the system? Is 20 enough?
