What did you do to your TJ today?

Got the Harbor Freight ATV hitch carrier for my upcoming trip to Mexico. After I leave Puerto Penasco it will be a good 225 miles to my destination and back to Penasco which is the last place for decent gas. This doesn't leave any for cruising on the beach so the plan is to fill two extra jerry cans in Puerto Penasco.

Where are you crossing? There's a gas station in Lukeville. I don't suggest going anywhere else with that nice Jeep unless you've done it before.

We will cross at Lukeville and top off there, then about 100 miles to Penasco where we will top off again at the Circle K then another 100 or so miles to Puerto Lobos. Have not had the Jeep down there yet but driven my Powerstroke down there for 13 years. I keep a close eye on it. Puerto Lobos is pretty small and we are in good with the fish cartel (yes, there is a fish cartel and he runs the village). There will be no more opportunity for decent gas (Pemex) unless we go further South to Libertad which is a couple hours round trip from Lobos.
Got my kill switch rigged up, alarm and a Disklok https://www.disklokusa.com/products...6X7l-lTUND9FJsnFOP4JWryCNivfSnFmUY_otusYRYc8k for the steering wheel.

I'm always the careful one and take precautions wherever we go. Some of the other guys could care less but we haven't had trouble in all the years we've been going down there.

Ahhh Puerto Lobos. Cool. Thought you were just going to Rocky Point and back lol. I was like "there's no need for jerry cans bro." Sounds like you're good to go. I didn't know that disklok existed. Thanks for posting that.

I figured you for more of a Four Loko kinda guy

Evil Eye used to be my drink of choice. Four Loko has some horrible flavors. 😬

Got my rear spring buckets delivered yesterday. I can’t wait to get them welded in and the new springs installed. I’m just waiting on the motivation to be delivered. They haven’t sent the tracking information on that yet lol at least the weather is finally getting nice. Sunshine is always a good motivator.

I used to live by and drive past the weather tech factory all the time. They added on another gigantic manufacturing warehouse a piss distance from the interstate and the whole wall is glass so you can see all the manufacturing going on inside and at night its all lit up. And the owner has a badass car collection and a helicopter landing pad over the retention pond. It's pretty awesome.

Yesterday, my son finally got the mating surfaces of his oil pan & block cleaned up, so oil pan installed. Today, "new" junkyard ax15 went in and t case went in. Changed the valve cover gasket and put in the new oil filter. New O2 sensors coming early next week along with tranny circle boot and inner shift boot
