I need to get a copy of he 2001 Jeep Wrangler TJ (4.0) ECM Schematic Diagram. We've opened up the ECM and trying to troubleshoot my charging issue.

Also, does anyone know the voltage regulator part number that controls the Generator Field. See attached picture of the voltage regulator circled in blue.

Let me know if you find a fix. Mine was charging at 14.9 volts I installed a external regulator kit to bring it down to 14.3 volts

Wayne-

I have a bushel barrel of those in my office. Please send me a private message with your address and I will mail one out tomorrow.

PS

I could be mistaken but I believe the part I circled controls voltage…You can also jump two pins on the ECM. I will find a pic of the jump and exactly what it does. To call me a tech would be an insult to techs but I’m learning day by day.

Thanks,

Mark

What you circled is the driver that control sthe alternator's charging. If it is in short, the alternator will overcharge, If open, the alternator will not charge.

I think I'm going to go back to trying to understand women, I think it will be easier.
