If you have a iphone you can get an angle finder app , works good . Just don't break your phone LOL !
Shipped my LJ from Hawaii to SoCal. Ran fine in Kona and Cal but wouldn’t pass smog check in Cal and had the blinking CEL. Took it to a dealer and they did the power module modification, no charge and without a fuss. Did have them purge brake system which wasn’t cheap. Passed Smog no problem after the mod. They did suggest I find a TJ specialist as they had no one with experience working on them.

How long has it been? The last couple of years have seen the influx of out of staters -congestion is significant now. I keep this picture to show what a traffic jam used to look like on my street…

Well I grew up there, went to Meridian HS, (graduated in '86). We move to N, ID about 9 years ago at this point. In HS, I had to drive CLEAR out to 10 mile and go help my cousins buck hay. When I moved, we lived on Black Cat and I had to drive in a mile to go see those same cousins. ;-)How long has it been? Installed inner shift boot. Pretty much jacked up the shifter knob getting the insert out to reach the nut. Dremeled it a bit so it's at least smooth & usable.
Found out the plastic trim is a bit small since its not a stock console. So just put the old outer boot back in place for now. It's not torn, just old & sitting in there. Hafta rig up something to make the plastic trim catch in there somehow.

Ride of the Month Winner
Went for a short cruise Sunday afternoon. A little bit of rain so I had the roof back on but only for about 20 minutes so then I could cook my sausages.
Found a steep muddy trail through the woods that I haven't been on in 20 years. Looks like they widened it a bit. It used to tear up your paint trying to get through it to get to the river crossing.

Not mine but I am doing the work to frame swap and going from 4 squirrels powering this to 8.
Swapped my steering wheel which had some cracking at the top and was turning into a sticky mess with one of those recovered ones from the Poland ebay seller:

Yes, I contacted the seller about a different wheel he had, and he said he could make one for me, so it is slightly thicker than the stock wheel.
After a week of stops and starts, I finally got everthing put together and we are a 2 car family again. So I'm cleaning the garage and putting stuff away. I'll rotate the axle tomorrow and measure for the new driveshaft.
